Apollonia Kotero

Patricia Apollonia Kotero (born Patricia Apollonia Kotero) is an American actress, singer, and former model. Most famously, she is known for her role in Prince's 1984 movie Purple Rain as well as being the singer-in-chief of Apollonia 6, a girl group. In the 80s, the singer-actress Prince was christened Apollonia to be one of the many female performers that gained by their connection with Prince. The singer appeared in several small film projects during this time, but reportedly declined to appear on the set of The Purple Rain sequel Under the Cherry Moon. From 1985 to 1986 she landed a part on the show called Falcon Crest. Apollonia finally released her debut album in 1988. However, her comparatively tame collection of songs that incorporated dance/R&B did not be a hit with people who buy music and the album soon vanished out of sight. The singer was still active, though not under the spotlight, as an actress during the decade, albeit with minor roles in television and films. A workout DVD was made available.
